Lomography is the commercial trademark of Lomographische AG, Austria for products and services related to photography.  The name is inspired by manufacturer LOMO Plc. Of Saint Petersburg, Russia that manufactured gun sights during World War I. It produced the first Russian camera in 1930, and today LOMO makes military optics, scientific research instruments, medical equipment and etc…

In 1991, the Austrian founders of Lomography discovered the Lomo LC-A (the word LOMO is often used to refer to Lomo LC-A and other cameras related to it).

“Charmed by the unique, colourful, and sometimes blurry images.” Characteristics such as over-saturated colours, off-kilter exposure, blurring, ‘happy accidents’ and alternative film processing are often considered part of the Lomographic Technique.

Lomography emphasizes casual and snapshot photography or “don’t think, just shoot!”

Current models in the market include Lomo LC-A, Diana, Holga 35mm, Frogeye, Pop-9, Oktomat, Coloursplash, Horizon 202, Seagull TLR, Smena 8m and more.
